What is it about?

Prediction of flow-induced vibration (FIV) is essential for proper engineering design of machines and structures that are exposed to fluid flows. Examples, include bridges, buildings and towers exposed to strong winds. Avoidance of catastrophic wind influences requires accurate engineering models of FIV. This research contributes to the knowledgebase useful for constructing models for prediction of FIV.
