What is it about?
This study shows that airfoils with leading-edge undulations are more stable and handle turbulent airflow better than standard airfoils. The airfoil with leading-edge undulations maintains steadier airflow by energizing boundary layers at crests and forming small separation zones at troughs, resulting in improved aerodynamic resilience under complex inflow conditions.
