Although emergency landings on water are unusual, it is of key importance to understand how an aircraft behaves in such an event in order to ensure the safety of passengers and crew. We show how a convenient choice of computer-aided methods and modelling techniques may help to analyze the deformations of the structure and how this approach can be used in an industrialized process.
