What is it about?
Laminar-to-turbulent boundary layer transition leads to increased friction and aerodynamic heating in hypersonic vehicles. This study proposes a novel methodology to control transition in hypersonic wall-bounded flows by introducing spanwise non-uniform temperature surface distributions.
