What is it about?

New aircraft design feature distributed propellers, potentially increasing the system performance further by exploiting the beneficial propeller-wing interaction. To take the propeller-wing interaction into account in the early aircraft design stages, fast and accurate tools are needed. In the present study, existing, low-order, potential flow methods are improved and then validated, such that they can be used to model the propeller-wing interactions.
