What is it about?

Blowing gas into the boundary layer is widely applied in the thermal protection and boundary layer control of hypersonic vehicles. We conducted experiments in the JF-12 hypersonic duplicate tunnel to study the effects of blowing on the flow field structure and aerodynamic heating characteristics of a flat plate boundary layer under duplicating flight conditions.
