Aerostructural Analysis of a Deployable Aeroshell in Transonic Flow

What is it about?

Flexible aeroshells experience strong interaction with high-speed airflow during atmospheric entry and coupled analysis model is necessary. This work presents a coupled fluid-structure interaction (FSI) model based on open-source software using the coupling library preCICE and clarified effect of structural deformation on aerodynamic performance.
