What is it about?
We report new analytical solutions for free vibration of rectangular FGM plates with interior/side cracks under various boundary conditions using a novel symplectic superposition framework. The derived analytical solutions provide comprehensive results, including natural frequencies and vibration modes, and are validated for accuracy. These solutions facilitate investigations into the effects of crack length and crack location on the vibration characteristics of FGM plates.
