Interaction between shock-waves and boundary-layer flow is a very complex phenomenon, and it can even cause damage to the aerospace transport and propulsion systems. We look at the effects of injecting a forced spanwise-inclined air-jet in a supersonic turbulent boundary layer flow to understand its potential in controlling such complex interactions.
