What is it about?

This work presents a simple methodology to calculate binary diffusion coefficients for a variety of simple gases diffusing in air. The new correlation is simpler but compares favorably with the two most common used models found in the literature. We show that our results, which were based on an extension to aerosol transport theory to molecular levels, are compatible to classical transport property theory but require no more information for the determination of binary diffusion coefficients than what is generally available in periodic tables.
