What is it about?
Aircraft can exhibit potentially destructive behavior that is not easily identified using traditional flutter analysis tools. Some techniques for discovering these behaviors are presented and applied to a realistic airplane model.

Why is it important?
Limit cycle oscillations which do not extend to zero-amplitude oscillations are easily discovered when there is only one nonlinearity; with multiple nonlinearities, as any realistic aircraft has, they are more difficult to discover. A few techniques for finding these latent LCOs is presented.
