What is it about?
Nonlinear gust response and LCO of an aeroelastic system with control surface freeplay is studied. An new computational method is developed using Random Input Describing Functions (RIDF). We observe coexistence of LCO with gust response as well as quenching of LCO by gust as the system parameters are varied.
