Similarity Parameter for Synthetic Jet Vortex Rings Impinging onto Porous Walls

What is it about?

As the transition state between vortex ring free developments and impinging onto solid walls, the vortex ring impinging onto a porous wall contains rich and complex flow phenomena. For the first time, we propose a similarity parameter to characterize the dynamic features of this vortex rings/porous wall interaction based on dimensional analysis and quantitative PIV measurements.
