What is it about?
Hybrid (bolted/bonded) joints could lead to significant improvement of the mechanical strength, depending on the judicious choice of adhesives. Functionally graded adhesives (FGA) could help in increasing the strength of bonded joints. This paper investigates the eventual potential benefit of using hybrid (bolted/bonded) joints with FGA.
