What is it about?

The generation of vortices on the surface of a airfoil leads to a moving separation point the directly leads to the rapid loading and unloading of a wind turbine blade. We show that through the use of advanced analysis of flow fields using particle imaging, the oscillation of the separation point are tied to the size of the vortices generated on the surface of the blade.
