What is it about?

Shock wave-boundary layer interaction induced by a compression ramp produces a flow separation around the ramp corner. Görtler vortices occur over the ramp due to the local flow curvature near reattachment. Two methods are proposed to predict the Görtler number for compression ramp flow. The three-dimensional flow inside the separation bubble results in a corrugated reattachment, which enhances the evolution of Görtler vortices.
