What is it about?

Effective beam stiffness properties of long lattice structures can be used to approximate the global behavior of the structure, to make a comparison between alternatives, and to reduce the complexities in analyses. We developed a simpler and more systematic method to determine these stiffness properties. The method developed in this work can also be applied to tensegrity structures, and n-strut Class-2 cylindrical tensegrity towers are analyzed and compared in terms of stiffness.
