Modeling and Analytical Solution of Near-Field Entrainment in Suddenly Started Turbulent Jets

What is it about?

During the emergence of turbulent jets, mixing mechanism of the regions close to the nozzle varies from the far-field regions. We developed a mathematical model to predict the mixing rates in the near-field and verified it using accurate computational simulations.
