What is it about?
High-speed jet noise can be predicted using an acoustic analogy. Within the context of an acoustic analogy, the spatial characteristics of equivalent sources of broadband jet noise are investigated. The investigation provides an assessment of suitable low-order models for approximating characteristic spatial scales for the purpose of modelling broadband noise radiated by high-speed jets with shocks in its plume.
