What is it about?

The Pressure-Sensitive Paint (PSP) technique is used to measure the pressure on a model surface tested in wind tunnel. The PSP used in the present case allows the measurement of fast variations of pressure, and more particularly, to analyze the movement of a shock-wave at the model surface. The advantage of PSP, in comparison with conventional pressure taps, is to provide a map of pressure on the entire surface.
