What is it about?
Stratospheric platforms, also defined as High Altitude Platform Station (HAPS) systems, are a promising technology for future broadband hybrid telecommunications networks. Similarly to satellites they can be attacked through cyber means. This paper provides the first comprehensive reference architecture of an aerostatic HAPS system, which is used to map the cyber attack surface of these systems.
