What is it about?

This work explores the potential of air taxi services to improve city transportation by reducing congestion, lowering carbon emissions, and increasing travel efficiency. While previous research has mainly focused on ground taxis, this work looks at how air taxis can be integrated with ground transportation. By using a mathematical model, we optimize how air and ground taxis are assigned to passengers and how the vehicle paths are planned. The results show that air taxis can significantly lower carbon emissions, especially when they make up a larger part of the transportation system. This research highlights the benefits of air taxis in creating a cleaner, more efficient urban transportation network.
