What is it about?

• An innovative design of electromagnetic embedded printed Air-Coil for nanosatellites was proposed to achieve the desired magnetic dipole moment and torque produced. • The design is made fully reconfigurable to offer more flexibility according to power requirements and can be reused for multiple missions. • Time varying rotational operation of nanosatellites is performed to test the rotation time for spin stabilized satellites • Thermal analyses were done in detail to ensure the feasibility and merit of the proposed embedded Air-Coil. • The optimized reconfigurable design was compared with the commercially available designs and the proposed printed Air-coil with configuration six coils (6x1) in series gives the maximum torque vs power dissipation ratio.
