What is it about?
The increasing usage of UAS in low altitude airspace is driving the need for the development of safety systems such as geofencing. This paper uses the original horizontal boundaries of a geofence and generates layers that serve as user warning and guidance override triggers. The presented methods are designed for non-convex boundaries and allow for multiple scaling distances.
