What is it about?
An operational safety bound for future UAS traffic management is proposed. The proposed bound is based on simple physics model and probabilistic uncertainty quantification of model parameters. The size of the bound is determined based on allowable risk level for future operations. Numerical examples are demonstrated and are shown that the proposed operational safety bound concept can enhance the airspace efficiency comparing with existing models.
