Similarity Search of Spatiotemporal Scenario Data for Strategic Air Traffic Management

This paper introduces an effective similarity search algorithm for a new data type, called spatiotemporal scenario data, to enable quick retrieval of similar scenarios from a database. This similarity search algorithm is a critical step towards closing the loop between big data and optimal decision-making to conquer the real-time design challenges of strategic air traffic management.
