What is it about?

Quadrotors are common designs of drones used in industry for various purposes. However, when one of their four rotors fails, it typically causes the quadrotor to crash. Previous research has shown that quadrotors can continue to fly despite rotor failure, provided that special autopilot software is used that causes the quadrotor to rotate about its vertical axis in the event of rotor failure. In that research, active failure detection is required for this purpose. In this work, such failure detection is no longer needed. This is a contribution to increase the safety in the operation of quadrotors.
