Trajectory Analysis of a Zero-Pitch-Angle E-Sail with Homotopy Perturbation Technique

What is it about?

An analytical expresssion of the polar form of the trajectory equation of a spacecraft propelled by a zero-pitch angle electric solar wind sail (E-sail) does not exist. Using homotopy perturbation technique, an approximate form of such a polar equation is obtained, both for the circular and the weakly-elliptical parking orbit cases.
