Near-Time-Optimal Repointing Maneuver of a Spacecraft with One DOF for Final Attitude

What is it about?

There has been an increasing need for continuously observing an area on earth from space using the remote sensing satellite in staring mode. We show for the first time how the agile satellite in staring mode maneuver in minimum time. This problem is solved in an analytical way and some interesting results are obtained.
