What is it about?
Spacecraft are often controlled by control moment gyros (CMG's), which are spinning wheels mounted on gimbals whose direction can be changed. The dynamics of these spacecraft are complicated, and thus this paper applies an adaptive control algorithm that simplifies the engineering task of developing an attitude control system.
