What is it about?

Truss-braced and strut-braced wings offer promising solutions for sustainable, fuel-efficient aircraft. This study introduces a faster, more accurate method for estimating wing mass, incorporating new propulsion technologies like electric and hydrogen systems. The method shows distributed propulsion has minimal impact on total wing mass, while TBW designs excel with dry wings, especially when using drop tanks and optimized offsets. These advancements support cleaner, more efficient aircraft and the push for net-zero emissions in aviation.
