What is it about?

The electrification of aviation allows for the comeback of propeller propulsion. Due to the flexibility of electric motors, the propellers can be used in alternative operations. Similar to regenerative braking with electric cars, propeller can be used as small wind turbines in the descent phase to regenerate energy, such that the overall energy consumption of the aircraft can be reduced.
