What is it about?
The performance and design of blended-wing-body regional aircraft are particularly sensitive to the design requirements any aircraft must meet. Several design features that most efficiently enable these requirements to be met are automatically generated through optimization and analyzed. The optimization is based on high-credibility simulations of the airflow around the aircraft. The aircraft configuration is shown to be able to satisfy several practical design requirements while maintaining a high efficiency.
