Propeller Ceiling Effect in Forward Flight

What is it about?

The fixed pitch propeller performance in ceiling effect forward flight is investigated under forward flight conditions with the increasing application of indoor drones. The changes in propeller performance are investigated and an easy-to-apply estimation model is developed. The major cause of the changes in the propeller performance in ceiling effect is also investigated, which is strongly related to the changes in the propeller inflow angle.
