What is it about?

Owing to its compact structure, lightweight, and great adaptability to special ground surfaces, skid landing gear is a crucial type of landing device, which compensates for the several limitations of wheeled landing gear. We carried out a detailed researach on the landing and rollout characteristic of the skid-equipped aircraft on the concrete runway for the first time. The relevant conclusions provide valuable insights for optimizing the design of skid landing gear and enhancing its applicability for conventional runway.
