Optimization of Lift-Plus-Cruise Vertical Take-Off and Landing Aircraft with Electrified Propulsion

What is it about?

Aircraft Designer always aims to design aircraft based on different objectives. They want to minimize the gross weight, energy used for the mission, time to complete the mission, and many others. We are trying to optimize the aircraft for these different objectives by changing the parameters like wing aspect ratio, taper ratio, disc loading, wing loading, and so on. We show that aircraft with different propulsion system architectures (all-electric, hybrid electric, and turbo-electric) are possible for same gross weight.
