What is it about?

Ground effect and ceiling effect are studied on different thin-electric propellers. An increment in thrust and decrement in power-required is found in both ground and ceiling effect. The propeller parameters: pitch, diameter, and solidity have an effect on the performance of the propeller in ground proximity. An empirical equation is developed to predict the changes in the propeller performance due to ground proximity.
