What is it about?
The JAXA Standard Model, which is representative of a commercial transport aircraft in a high-lift configuration, is simulated using computational fluid dynamics methods that use overlapping curvilinear grids. Advanced modeling capabilities are employed, including a non-linear turbulence model, laminar-turbulent transition modeling, and time-accurate simulations.
