What is it about?
Experimental studies of aircraft dynamics can be done using a rig to support an aircraft model inside a wind tunnel. Rigs that allow the aircraft model to move often impose restrictions on the overall response of the aircraft. This study investigates the kinematic effects the rig has on the aircraft model and presents a concept to reduce it in order to match the motion of a free-flying aircraft model.
