What is it about?
Boron’s reaction with water shows promise as a fuel additive for water-breathing ramjets, which use water from the environment to boost engine performance. For the first time, we analyze boron’s performance through over 100 static firing tests. The results demonstrate a superior energetic performance, outperforming metals like magnesium and aluminum.
