What is it about?
The results of a similarity analysis make it possible to predict the behavior and performance of a full-scale system on the basis of data obtained from a model, lab-scale system. It provides a good physical insight and saves time and cost of the system development. This article presents the similarity and scaling rules of a liquid-fuel ramjet combustor, revealing that constancy of PD (pressure times diameter) ensures scaling under similarity conditions.
