Analytical equations for performance analysis of in-space staging systems

What is it about?

Staging space propulsion thrusters, analogous to stages on launch vehicles, allows the performance of space propulsion systems to be increased without relying on improvements in the thrusters themselves. We develop analytical expressions that allow staging systems to be analyzed to allow for simple assessment of propulsion system performance.
