What is it about?

Aluminum alloys are widely used for their structural and mechanical properties, but are rarely studied as potential fuels in solid propellants. We investigate the use of the Al-Si eutectic alloy as a reactive fuel in solid rocket propellant and compare its performance and combustion characteristics to traditional solid rocket propellant.
