What is it about?

Satellite constellation design methods have traditionally been problem-specific, making it difficult for users to efficiently conduct preliminary studies on satellite placement and quantity. This paper introduces a collection of five mixed-integer linear programming formulations, enabling users to address a variety of coverage objectives and constraints within a single methodological approach. The proposed framework is extensible, adaptable to diverse mission scenarios, and demonstrated through multiple case studies and comparative analyses.
