What is it about?
Rotating synthetic aperture (RSA) space telescopes offer system designs that are low mass and low cost without sacrificing image resolution. Controlling simultaneous slewing and spinning dynamics of these systems is a significant challenge. We demonstrate accurate control of a RSA imaging maneuver using a hardware testbed and perform a scalability analysis to relate experimental results to low and medium Earth orbit operations.
