What is it about?
An approach that applies the inverse-kinematics steering law (IKSL) to a double-gimbal scissored-pair control moment gyroscope (DGSPCMG) was proposed to improve the attitude control in spacecraft. Numerical simulations results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach with that of the generalized singularity robust inverse steering law (GSRISL) in terms of the settling time for maneuvers about the axis on the x-z plane of the DGSPCMG frame and on the boundary between the regions where the DGSPCMG can possess angular momentum and where it cannot.
