Supporting Uranus Exploration with Deployable Small Spacecraft Probes

What is it about?

For small spacecraft to operate around planets far from the sun, they need an alternative energy source. We consider the possibility of using a laser to not only transmit power to a small spacecraft from a nearby mothership, but to also be used for communication and control of how the small spacecraft points.
