What is it about?

The aerodynamics of multistage launchers represents a complex issue during the free-fall phase. We provide an overall picture of the aerodynamic behavior of a generic fragment during the fallback phase as a function of fundamental parameters, such as the position of the center of gravity, the freestream Mach number, and the angle of attack.
