What is it about?
Space habitats placed on orbits that make periodic encounters with Earth and Mars can be used to establish missions for sustainable exploration of Mars. One important aspect of these missions is the need for a spacecraft to transfer the crew between the planet (Earth or Mars) and the habitat. This paper presents a parametric model for mass estimation of such transfer spacecraft.
