What is it about?
Low regression rate and efficiency have limited the widespread use of hybrid rocket motors. A possible solution is the use of a swirling injection and the addition of a post-chamber. Is is shown that the regression rate is linearly related to the swirl number and that a small post-chamber is sufficient with vortex injection.
